ASMPI visits Wisdom Marine Lines

On February 9, 2023, Augustea Manila Team flew to Wisdom Marine Group office in Taipei, Taiwan for the first time for a courtesy visit and a face-to-face meeting and introduction among the group.

This meeting was already long overdue ever since the start of the agreement in July 2022, mainly caused by the travel ban that was only lifted at the beginning of February as part of the country’s strict COVID-19 health and safety measures.

Augustea Team was composed of the following Key Persons: Capt. Arvin Madrones – Marine Technical Superintendent, Ms. Jennifer Sumalinog – Office Manager and Ms. Danna Ocado – MIS Manager of I.M.A. Assessment and Training Center.

The following agenda were the main discussion during the meeting:

  1. General Condition of the Vessels

  2. Implementation of the Digitalization of Communication Between Owner and the Vessels

  3. Proper Handling of Galley Provisions Onboard the Vessels

  4. Implementation of New Strategies for Training to better attend the control of Rightship and other External Inspections

  5. Welfare And Wellbeing of the Crew

  6. Career Development Plan

  7. Implementation of New System to Attend Shortage of Critical Crew Composition Onboard

  8. Recruitment Procedure

At the end of the meeting, Wisdom is considering to adapt Augustea's procedure in recruiting and training the crew for both onboard and ashore.

It is safe to say that Augustea Team was warmly welcomed by Wisdom Group in their office premises and the meeting brought further years of mutual trust, support and benefits.
